The IIIth International Symposium on Mathematics Education (III SIME) is an event that brings together researchers and the general public interested in the development and research of Mathematics Education. It is organized every two years by the Center for Research in Pure and Applied Mathematics (CIMPA) and Atlantic Headquartes of University of Costa Rica, with the support of the a School of Mathematics.
Since 2010, have been presented in the SIMMAC some work related to mathematics education, with the participation of researchers from Central America, South America, North America and Europe, so it was decided to perform the I SIME conjunction with the XIX SIMMAC, in 2014. As a result of this I SIME it was decided to hold this event every two years, II SIME starting from 2015.
The III SIME will take place from 22 to 24 February 2017.
Registrations begin on Tuesday, February 21th from 2 p.m. in Building CIMPA at the University of Costa Rica. Registration opens Wednesday at 8 a.m. in the place where will be held the event.
The III SIME will be held on the campus of the University of Costa Rica in San Pedro, near San Jose, the capital of the country.
Arrival of international attendants should be at Juan Santamaria International Airport (international code SJO). At the airport there are plenty of taxis to get around to different hotels. Sessions will take place in the Education Faculty of University of Costa Rica.
